Celebrating 3 years of Blogging!

Can you believe it!

Three Years, 156 blog posts, and way too many social media posts.

Traditionally the third anniversary of something is called the leather or glass anniversary.

I love the symbolism of glass.

Glass is delicate, fragile, and mesmerizing. While this blog might not be those things. It is in a delicate and fragile place.

Don’t get frightened here. I’m not going anywhere, but just like in any journey there needs to be a time to reflect and check the strength of a glass object.

Have you ever watched the reality show Blown Away?

It is a reality show for glassblowers. I love watching the artistry as well as the painstaking process of taking a piece of glass from molten sand to picturesque art (most of the time)

But in watching the show I’ve noticed a trend. If the artist rushes the process something will crack.

When I first started writing, this post back when I was blog planning last year, I really had no idea where this blog was going. I just knew I loved talking about God, books and encouraging parents.

This blog has been a place where I stretch and grow as a writer, a mother, and a Christ-follower. It has been so fun to connect with you here. As in the glass-blowing process sand changes to glass, so this blog will be changing in the next year.

Because October 18th is the launch of the Book Worthy Podcast!

BookWorthy Podcast Logo

As I start my BookWorthy Podcast, a place to talk about books that are good for kid's hearts and souls. This blog will turn toward highlighting those books and authors that I interview.

Be sure to follow along in all the social media places.

I'm looking forward to the next part of this adventure and can't wait to see where God leads in the years ahead.

Thank you so much for being on this journey with me, and I can’t wait to see what is next.

Let me know if you have any thoughts. Are there topics you feel strongly about or ways I can serve you? Send me a note and let’s see how we can spur one another on to good deeds.

Many Blessings,

Valerie
